Being the beginning of February, I always wonder how peoples' New Years Resolutions are holding up. For me I always found it to be such a bumpy start. January comes the same time every year but yet I never felt like I could get my act together and come up with good resolutions; let alone carry them out!
I always feel like I am playing catch up after the holiday season - I am trying to better my life at the same time clean up Christmas, get back into the routine of life. Never works for me! What about you?
That's why in February I like a restart. Normally at this point my life is back to a good routine and I can focus on bettering myself.
This year though, I decided that instead of making silly resolutions - eat healthier, exercise everyday, be more organized, etc - I decided to choose a word to live by.
This year I chose the word Intention. According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, the definition is "the thing you plan to do or achieve: an aim or purpose"
Every move that I plan to make will have intention, there will be a purpose to what I am doing, and I will know my purpose before I do it. Being a wife and working mom of a toddler with one on the way, there is very little extra time to not have intention with every move I make.
I intend to make this the best year yet! I intend to help all of my couples have the most perfect event and be able to look back and say "I wish that night never ended - it was so great!" I intend to make sure that they enjoy all of their family and friends and never know what is going on behind the scenes.
I have some exciting things in the works and I can't wait to share - but for now, you will just have to check back ;)
What about you? Did you set New Years Resolutions? How are they working out for you?
